Salinella and its sectors
The western cliff has northern, central and southern areas. Bunker and Terra Media are in the central area; Torre Isulidda and Seagull are in the far south. TheCrag lets you move from area to sector for grades, route lengths and access notes.
Macari, Castelluzzo and Monte Monaco
TheCrag also distinguishes Castelluzzo/Macari and Monte Monaco. A different area may suit a different day. For multi-pitch routes, do not assume single-pitch equipment and logistics are sufficient; consult the description of the specific climb.
Season, sun and rest days
Salinella is predominantly west-facing, so afternoon sun matters, especially in hot weather. Spring and autumn allow climbing to be combined with walks and local visits. On rest days, consider the village, Erice or a walk appropriate to conditions.
Access, equipment and services
Ask your accommodation about equipment storage and access to your chosen sectors. When booking transport, allow for luggage volume and return times. Respect signed access, fences and private land. An online route listing does not certify bolts or anchors.
